The Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen presented 3D prints on clothing and fashion accessories which have been grown with magnets. The Iris van Herpen Spring / Summer 2015 collection ready-to-wear was launched on October 1st in Paris. Her idea came after she visited the Swiss CERN , the Large Hadron Collider Center for Scientific Research, and found the magnetic fields, which are 20,000 higher than the Earth, fascinating.

Shoes, belts, necklaces and forearm pockets are processed using metallic elements, making each piece unique. A transparent dress covered with 3D crystalline formations was designed together with the architect Niccolo Casas . Iris van Herpen Spring / Summer 2015 collection also offers special techniques using injection molded parts and laser cutting to create three dimensional structures for dresses, jackets, pants, skirts and blouses.
Inspiration Origins Chaos Nature
Fine lace contrasts with heavy plastic parts and materials, occasionally soft feather fibers that have been accented by cellulose triacetate. They all adorn the clothing and are a real eye-catcher.
